Bon Jour everyone from St. Barthelemy!
I was surprised to receive the mailings forwarded to me from the woman
keeping my home in NJ, as I had unsubscribed for the duration of my time
out of the States. While I have purchased a 'puter here (the cutest little
laptop you have ever seen ;), the call to this horrific server called
Compuserve is a toll call; therefore, I am limiting my e-mail to family and
close friends. So..... please take me off the mailing lists until I return
in mid-Fall '97. I will re-subscribe then!
For those of you who don't remember me..... I am a descendant of Abraham
Pickens Harrison of Walton County, GA (bNC) and his father Rev. Nathan
Harrison (also born in NC, I think :) And, of course, am in constant
search of Nathan's parentage and children.
We are off to a beach not close to home this a.m. - seems like 'goatman'
(the name we have given the goat/sheep/chicken farmer across the road - the
farm is on the beach!) has taken to slaughtering his animals and hanging
them in trees. They are all scared to death (who would eat an animal that
was killed in fear? Think of all the hormones and natural chemicals the
animal has released prior to his death!) and there is the stench of death
in the air. My cats are pacing..... and are now having a velcro day.
St-Barths is lovely - as long as you don't live next to goatman - if any of
you come down in the next few months.... email me and we will meet for a
drink! Have a great summer..... and HAPPY (family) HUNTING!!!!
