I am researching my gggrandparents. Jane HARRISON (b. 1825) was married in
Lancashire on May 19,1850 to William HIBBERT (b. 1822, Manchester) per family
data. From a family letter, William Hibbert' s sister "married one of the
largest manufacturers in Manchester or some town near by it." The same
letter suggests the Hibbert family had several actors in it.
Jane had 6 children, all born in England (George, William, Mary Ellen, James
Henry, James, and Emmanuel). They left Manchester after 1858, emigrating to
the US at Lawrence Massachusetts by 1866. After arriving in Lawrence, she
was living at home with husband and children working in the woolen and cotton
mills. He died 1890. She died at 72 Hancock Street, Lawrence MA on 28 Feb
1897.
