Hi everyone,
I am looking for information on my HARRISON family who emigrated from
Devonshire, England around 1820 to Canada, settling on a farm near Milton
in Halton, Ontario.
Thomas HARRISON, my gggg-grandfather, and his wife Elizabeth had 7
children:
1. Mary Ann, 2. William,( my ggg-grandfather), 3. Henry, 4. Eliza, 5.
Richard, 6. Charles, and 7. Johnson.
William Harrison married Hannah HESSEY on 8 Jan 1840, and they had 8
children:
1. Johnson Edward HARRISON, 2. William Spencer HARRISON, 3. D. M.
HARRISON, 4. M. Louise HARRISON, (the rest are daughters, I don't know
their first names), 5. Mrs. F. COLLING, 6. Mrs. James BASTEDO, 7.
Mrs. R. BOYNE, 8. Mrs. G. APPLEBY.
All the above info came from a golden wedding anniversary newspaper
clipping and the family tree page, inside the Harrison family Bible dated
1769.
I have a lot of info on my Harrison line thanks to my g-Uncle Frank
HARRISON who gave me a large box filled with old photos, post cards,
letters, etc..., a few years before he died.
I am interested in contacting any other members of this extended family
to share information.
Warm regards,
Karen Collins De Leon
