Re: Anthony A. Harrison

Just wondering if you've checked out the book "Settlers by the Long Grey
Trail" by J. Houston Harrison ? It deals mostly with Rockingham Co., Va. and
the many Harrison's who settled there.

The reason that I thought of it is because my Harrisons come from there, and
in researching them, I've run across Anthony Harrison's name. Can't seem to
find it in my info., but very possibly I read it when using that book. My
descendants come from the line of Col. Benjamin Harrison and his wife, Mary
McClure,. In about 1803, several of Benjamin's children, including my 4th
great grandfather, Fielding Harrison, moved to Christian Co., Ky, where they
stayed until about 1815, and then they moved on to Sangamon and Madison Co.,
Illinois. My part of the family went first to Edwardsville, in Sangamon Co,
and then on to Upper Alton, in Madison Co., where they remained. Seems very
likely to me that there is some connection between the families.

If you do find any connection between the Harrisons, let me know--can always
use a new cousin.
