I doubt there is a connection. My Isaac Harrison (1793-aft 1850) was born
Greene Co, TN and there married Frances Dement, daughter of John Dement and
Charity Bridges.
My Isaac is almost certainly a "Long Grey Trail" Harrison, a descendant of
Isaiah Harrison b 1666 of Long Island, New York, whose children all ended
up in Augusta Co, VA. To my knowledge, none of this line remained in New
York. My line is probably through Jeremiah Harrison (1707-1798) who died in
Greene Co, TN.
There are at least three main groups of southern Harrisons: the Long Grey
Trail Branch, descended from Isaiah; the presidential Harrisons of James
City County and a third group unconnected to the other two.
