grandfather, Vincent D. Harrison.

Scott and Robert applied for Carter's pension based on the fact he had
inherited Vincent's estate and they were under 16 during the Civil War.
Walter became their guardian when Carter and Francis Marion died and did not
marry my gg grandmother until all children came of age.
