I am writing to you in regards to the surname of Harris...My
G-Grandmother's name was Helen Hester Harris, She had a brother, Oscar
Norman Harris and a sister, Neva Mae Harris. They were all born in
Montrose, Effingham Co., IL.
Their parents names were William Harris and Anna Mumper...Wm. was born
10/15/1873 in Harvey, Harvey Co., KS. He married Annd in Effingham, IL
on 3/15/1905.
William was the son of Charles M. Harris and Mourning Reynolds. Charles
was born on 6/17/1845 somewhere in Ohio. He married Mourning in IN.
Mourning and Charles had 6 children total.
The children of Mourning and Charles are as follows:
George, Born 1867 in IL
Ella, Born 1869 in IL
Frankie, Born 1870 in KS
William Harris, (See above)
Ida A., Born 1879 in KS
Earnest, Born march 1880 in KS
