Temperance Ann Harrison b 1817 Isle of Wight Co., VA

          Becky/Patrick - I found your email addresses on the Virginia 
          Surnames Homepage for Harrison (Becky's page I searched).
          
          I am looking for info on the Harrison branch of Temperance, 
          in the subject line.  My maternal grandmother's paternal 
          grandmother was her daughter, Martha Anne Davis (b 1840, 
          d 1919) who married a Cofer.
          
          Temperance married John Wm Davis Aug. 9, 1837 in Norfolk, VA 
          (he was the son of Chas W Davis who died in Norfolk 1850 and 
          is buried there in Elmwood Cemetery).  The only other 
          reference to Temperance was in a Will Extract for 
          Revolutionary War Surgeon Joseph Harrison 22 June 1838, he 
          being the younger brother of Temp's grandfather, late 
          Sampson Harrison.  Temp's father Thomas had another daughter 
          Martha (widow of Joel Gwaltney). Sampson and Joseph had 
          another brother, the late Charles Harrison whose daughter 
          Catharine shared the inheritance.
