Edward L. Harrison

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post to this list, please have patience if it is done
wrong.....

I amlooking for info on my grandfather, EDWARD LEAY HARRISON, who was born in
1870 in Greenbush, Rensselaer Co. NY....his FA: GEORGE HARRISON, M: SARAH
McDONALD, and had a sister Lucille. From what I have found in the 1870
census for Rensselaer Co. I believe he was named after an EDWARD LAY who
lived in Greenbush, who was about 34 years old in 1870. Don't know what if
any relationship he would be to my grandfathers family...

I believe that it was my grandfathers mothers family that was from the
Greenbush area, and that his fathers family was from probably another part of
New York State, possibly somewhere around the Greenbush area....

I do not know very much about my grandfather because he left my grandmother
and father in NYC in 1895, and my grandmother coming from a good German
family, it was never spoken of (no insult to any of you Germans out there,
I'm German also, and they can be stubborn). Have been trying to find him for
a number of years, and I seem to just run into brick walls....one other bit
of info, my father was named Walter, and that was the name of Edward Lays
brother...

If anyone has any info on this family, the McDonald, or the Lay family I will
appreciate it ever so much.....Thanks, and have a good day.....
