Just one problem with Elizabeth ... could not have been born 1813 and m.
the year before she was born. I am estimating she would have been born
about 1794/6 but am not really sure about the order of the children.

If we look at the will of John, he lists Elizabeth in the middle .. and
note Benjamin is first even though we have his DOB 1790 (and as the third

but suspect they are not exact and maybe should read abt or cir.
We didn't have the ELLIS surname of John's wife Sarah but otherwise our
records agree. I will do some hunting and see if ELLIS pops up anywhere
that can help us find John's parents. .... whoops forgot about this:

WHITE notes:
Tennessee Cousins by Worth S. Ray on page 104 states that John md Sally
Ellis, dau of Charles Ellis and had children: Benjamin, Charles, Peter,
Elizabeth, Sally, Delilah, and perhaps Polly and Annie. �9
I have perferred to use Torrence & Allied Families by Robert Torrence
instead because he is the most esteemed of the two authors until such time
as Mr. Ray's is proven. �168

Worth Ray has a number of errors in his book Tennessee Cousins - so be
warned that you MUST check original records and verify. I know that some
of the original researchers that helped Ray did not agree with many of his
conclusions.
