Bill - this is what I have on the mayor of chicago.  Hope this helps.  I
added Judith's transcript to my existing record :)  Would love to know the
first name etc of CHH wife RUSSELL... and any confirmation you have on this
family.  And of confirmation on parentage of Carter II.

Carter married Miss Russell, and died young, leaving one son, Carter
Harrison, the late mayor of Chicago.531 

p. 40:  Carter Herny Harrison, second son of Robert C. Harrison of Fayette
Co. Ky; died Oct 9, 1825, aged 29 yers.
Obituary in R 10/24.   His obit. was in "Kentucky Reporter" (Lexington) 24
Oct. 1825.

& RUSSELL - 11266. Born 15 Feb 1825. Died 28 Oct 1893. Occupation Mayor Of
Chicago X3. Residence KY > Chicago, IL. Sources519, 555, 442. 

Carter Henry Harrison (III) was assassinated in Chicago by a disgruntled
city employee on October 28, 1893; and succeeded as major by Carter Henry
Harrison (IV).  For more on this see Man the Biographies by Abbot and
Johnson listed above; as well as the Proceedings of a Memorial Meeting of
the City Council of the City of Chicago, held on Thursday, November 16,
1893.519

 " B. CARTER HENRY HARRISON, was born February 15th, 1825.  He received his
early education from his mother, and was afterwards graduated from Yale
College.  On his return from college to Lexington, he entered upon the
study of law in the Department of Transylvania University; but after
completing his course, he declined the practice of law and returned to his
plantation. A few years later he went abroad, and traveled extensively upon
the Continent, as well as in Palestine.  Soon after his return he sold his
estate in Kentucky, and went to Chicago, Ill. where he has since lived.  He
represented his district in Congress two terms, and has several times been
elected Mayor of Chicago.  About 1854 he married Miss Sophie Preston of
Henderson, KY.  Their children are-... Mrs. Harison died in Gemany in
September, 1876, and Mr. Harrison has since married Miss Margaret Sterans,
of Chicago." Page 52: 555

The Harrison family home was at 231 Ashland Blvd, Chicago IL. Original
Ashland Blvd. was known as Reuben Street until Hey Rube became an
expression of ridule.556

He first married Sophonisba Grayson "Sophie" PRESTON - 5159, About 1854.
Died in Germany Sep 1876. Residence Henderson, KY. Sources555.

Henerietta E. HEATON - 5189, 1887. Born 15 Nov 1856 in Chicago, Cook Co.,
IL. Died 22 Jul 1930 in Cook Co., IL. Residence Chicago, IL. Sources556. 

		iii.	William Preston HARRISON - 5192; Residence Chicago, IL. Sources556. 
		iv.	Edith? HARRISON - 5193; Sources556. 

He second married Margaret STERANS - 5160. Residence Chicago, IL. Sources555.
