Any HARRISONs in the GA/SC/surrounding area that were INDIAN (late
1800's)
Looking for info on Matilda HARRISON that was said to be Indian. She
married John Henry SHOKES of Charleston, SC c. 1904; and died shortly
after the birth of their son Henry C SHOKES.
I have not been able to find any info in the county records of
Charleston other than the birth record of Henry C Shokes that states his
mother's name as Matilda HARRISON.
I am not sure of her date of birth. Her husband was in his 50's when
they married. Not even sure if Matilda had been previously married or
not.
