Hello. The Nathaniel HARRISON family from Shelby Co. AL is my own line.
Nathanial was born about 1794 possibly in NC. He married first Sarah CARROLL
and this couple had three children: Elizabeth Harrison who married Orville
Franklyn Chestly CASTLE; Benjamin Harrison; and Dennis Carroll Harrison who
married first Emily FORD and second Martha FLORE. Nathaniel Harrison married
second Peggy CROWSON (believed to be daughter of the Rev. Moses CROWSON). The
children born to the HARRISON/CROWSON marriage were: Thomas Harrison (whose
descendants still live in Shelby Co. AL); William Harrison; Joel Harrison (who
married Martha WEEKS); Sarah Harrison; Mary Harrison; Nancy C. Harrison (who
married J. Charles "Charley" BUCHANAN; and Althna Harrison (who married James
Monroe BURK. I have much additional information about these HARRISONs, most
of it compiled by Betty J. HULSE. Ramona SMITH is a descendant of Dennis
Carrol Harrison. I'll be happy to share whatever I have and would be very
happy to correspond with any other descendant of Nathanial Harrison and Peggie
Crowson.
