Joan and Richard,
The time and location of your Isaac Harrison in the 1870 census is of
interest to me. I am stuck in tracking backwards from my g gf, William
Henry Harrison. The records I have indicate that he was born in
Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA on 22-Jan-1846.
The 1880 census of Washington Twp, Clark Co, IN shows that Wm's father
was born in Ireland, but the 1900 census of Hanover Twp, Jefferson Co, IN
shows that both of his parents were born in PA. ????
G gp was definitely in Clark Co, IN by early 1864 as he married Lydia
Stoner in Otto, Clark Co, IN on 9-Mar-1864. She was born in Clark Co.
I have not had the time necesary to review 1850 and 1860 Allegheny Co
census to try to find him in a family there.
If you should happen to find a William Henry Harrison, born 1846 in PA, I
sure would appreciate it if you would contact me with your findings. It
is rather difficult to track the name William Henry Harrison since so
many Harrisons were named after the 9th President (1773-1841).
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
