Is anyone researching the DARGAN family? (see Harrison connection below).
I am trying to ascertain the identity of the wife of REV. TIMOTHY DARGAN
(born in Va; died in Amelia Township SC in 1762.)
Was his wife CATHERINE LEE (Lide? Lord?)? Or was she an APPLEBY? Did he marry
twice? If so, which children are by which wife?
One reference states:
Timothy Dargan born Virginia, married Katherine
Appleby, died AFT 1790, Fairfield County, SC.
But, there are other references to a Lee/Lide/or Lord connection
The various Dargans lived in Fairfield, Orangeburg, Chester District, Amelia
Township, Orangeburg, etc.
Rev. Timothy Dargan's daughter, ELIZABETH DARGAN, married BURR HARRISON
(1728-1822; born in Va., died in SC.)
