I am searching for any information on a Jacob G. and John B. Harrison who
bought land in Crawford County Arkansas on 8/20/1884. I am also etremely
interested in any information pertaining to Harrison families in Crawford
County, Ark. during the late 1800's and early 1900's, especially around the
town of Mulberry. My great-grandfather, Joseph Henry Harrison, was born in
Mulberry in 1887 and later moved to OK. I have been told bya great aunt
that the Harrisons came from MS and are direct descendants of a Harrison at
the Jamestown Colony and the Harrison who signed the Declaration of
Independence. I am in the huge process of locating and documenting other
family members and I believe that the John and Jacob listed above are
related to my line, if one of them is not Joseph's father. Joseph's mother
was from Tenn. I also know that Jacob's wife was from Tenn., but she was
too young to be Joseph's mother.
