Moved to Limestone Co, AL abt 1808. Jospeh is on the Madison Co.,
AL census records 1809, 1810-1815 (Tax List), 1818-1820 (10 slaves,
1 m-O/21, 5m-U/21, 1m-O/21, 1f-U/21. He removed to MO bef 1830
(not on census in 1830).
Animals taken up-Limestone Co, Al #843 - Living at the Ford of the
Meetinghouse Branch on the road leading from Athens to Huntsville,
appraised 1828 by Paris Bell and Rich B. Ramsey.
Limestone Co 1819-John T. Smith's book pg 1-38 missing. Joseph
Harrison indexed as to view and mark out road; Joseph Harrison of
Mooresville.

Removed from Athens, AL to MO 1829 with brother Jesse & Esther,
Harvey & Zilpha Bell Harrison. 2 or 3 Craig familes in same area
in MO. possible brothers of Nancy Craig.
Largest # of cotton gins in Limestone Co, AL; 10 slaves.
Lived between Athens and Huntsville, near the Cambridge
Presbyterian Church.
In MO-lst land deed in 1829 in Lafeyette Co MO near Jesse & Esther.
1832-1854 land deeds in Hazel Hill Township.
Applied for War of 1812 pension in 1872, Harvey wrote a letter to
Washington as witness to fathers service, Joseph was 86 yrs old.
Pension was denied due to 57 days service instead of 60 days required.
Judge Harvey Harrison of MO wrote a letter in 1889 about family
history.
When he came to AL all the deeds show paid he cash. He was
obviously prosperous. Gideon may not be his father only evidence
at this time is Judge Harvey's letter, which in the possession of a
relative in Virginia.
