Hello all,
I have just discovered information that leads me to believe that I may have a
Harrison connection to Benjamin Harrison of Prince George County, Virginia.
I have an Elenor -?- who was married to Henry Wilkins of Charles City County,
Virginia; when Henry died ca. 1795, Elenor remarried to an Edward Davell or
Duvall. When she died in 1800, a loan note obtained by her son-in-law, Joseph
Royster, against her daughter, Nancy Ann Wilkins' dower indicated that the
note was owed to Benjamin Harrison. I know that since banks were not
prevalent at that time, family members were often approached for loans.
Elenor's grandson and Nancy Ann Royster's son, Henry, named one of his eldest
sons, William Harrison Royster; another grandson, Joseph Royster, also named a
son Harrison Royster.
I hope that this is not too convoluted to understand!!! My main questions are
: Is there a Benjamin Harrison of Prince George County, Virginia; does he
have any relationship with a William Harrison; was there a daughter or sister,
Elenor, who is unaccounted for in the family, if such a family exists?????
