Hi. I am continuing my search for any information on a William A. Harrison
who moved to Crawford County, AR. I have found that he received land on
5/1/1860 and agin on 10/28/1897. I believe that this is my GG-grandfather,
but I have no way of telling for sure. My GG-grandfather was born in MS
and married a woman from TN. It has been said through family "legend" that
the woman was Indian, but I'm not positive of that either. Listed as also
getting land in Crawford County, are Furmin Harrison(received land on
4/27/1885) and Robert Harrison(received land on 11/30/1885). These may be
of relation to William A. My great-grandfather, Joseph Henry Harrison, was
born in the Mulberry area of Crawford County on 2/15/1878 and I have been
told that he was the "baby" of the family. I would be very interested in
any links that might have a William A. in MS prior to this time or any
information on a William A. in Arkansas during the late 1800's and early
1900's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
