I want to thank everyone for all of their assistance for the past six
months. However, I seem to be at a standstill.
I drove many miles to another city to go to a family History centre only to
discover that my particular family line is not on any of the IGF's or any of
the other resources. I have written to two 90 year-old relatives with the
hope that they may be able to tell me what parishes this family belonged to,
but it is unlikely. Regardless, it will take some time.
I think the best thing to do is take a break for a few months. I can find
no record of this family and perhaps it just needs a break. Even the people
at the Family History Centre thought it was strange that there would be no
records of this family. I had two Birth Certificates so we were approaching
it with accurate information. They said that 95% of the British information
is recorded. I guess my family line is in the 5% that did not get recorded.
