He married Jessie Knifley and was divorced from her on April 27, 1931 according to Dallas County District court # 92299-C as recorded in book 39, page 475 of the minutes of the 68th Judicial District of Texas, in and for Dallas county. He may have remarried to Verna Hambleton SSA# 210-18-5614.Tragically "Uncle Ray"s' last night was spent inside the Olive View hospital that collapsed, the morning of the Sylmar earthquake of 1971.
