Judge John Pollard HARRISON was born in Louisville, KY, son of Dr. John Pollard HARRISON and Mary Thomas WARNER of Philadelphia.
He served as an attorney and as City Attorney in Covington, KY. He was a Notary Public in 1858 (per certificate in my possession) served a part term as City clerk for Covington and was a County Judge for Kenton Co. Kentucky.
On 8 July 1876 and at their subsequent meeting, Judge Harrison gave an address to the Pioneer Association of Kenton, Boone and Campbell Counties. In his speeches, he gave a fairly detailed account of the history of Covington up until that time (1876). (per handwritten copy of the speeches - copied from the original by his grand-daughter) (1)
Judge Harrison’s 2nd wife was Nancy KENNEDY HAYS. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Kennedy, one of the earliest settlers of the area and the person from whom 150 acres were purchased to found the city of Covington, KY. (I have been unable to learn anything about Judge Harrison’s first wife.)
