OUR READERS WRITE: .........................

LOWELL E. PERRY OF 427 Pinehurst Blvd., Kalamazoo, MI 49007

Writes, "...that his primary interest is digging out the history and genealogy of the many families that derived from the union of James O'Flynn and Mary Ann Workman. This couple is the first of my line to have lived on the North American continent. Three of their ten children married into the same family, that of William and Mary HARRISON. This family lived during the first half of the 1800's in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. (Marysburgh Twp.)

The three Harrison children marrying into the O'Flynn family were Lewis, angus and Alvietta (according to 1861 census, Marysburgh twp) Lewis Harrison was married at age 25 in Marysburgh on 16 Feb 1864 to Mary O'Flynn, also age 25, both were natives of said township.

Alvietta (Alvoretta) Harrison was married to Bernard O'Flynn, date and place unknown. According to further information from their grand daughter, Hazel McLellan of Picton Ont., they had two children; Jesse Burton O'Flynn and Annie Mary O'Flynn who in turn has married to Patrick James McLellan.

The youngest of the O'Flynn children, Sarah J. was married to Angus Harrison, and are alleged to have had at least one child, Edmond Harrison supposedly still living in the city of Napanee, Ontario."

Since Littleberry Harrison and Hugh Harrison were both in TN in 1840, they may be related, even though Littleberry Harrison is from my paternal line and Hugh Harrison is from my maternal line.

Would like information on the parents of Littleberry Harrison, b. ca 1812 VA. He was in TN in 1840, 1842, MS in 1845, Hunt Co., TX in 1847, 1850, 1860, and I think he may have died near Lone Oak, Hunt Co., TX after 1865. He was married to Mary Wilson and the names of their sons were: Richard, Joel, and William. Their daughter, was my great grandmother, Harriet Jane Harrison, who married Joseph Bradford Patton and lived in Texas, around the Hunt Co. & Kaufman Co. areas.

Would like information on the parents of Hugh Harrison b. 1817, TN. He was married to Sara Louisa D. Whitesides in AR, ca 1852. He was in TN 1840, and in Bradley Co., AR 1850. By 1860, they were in Cass Co., TX, and remained there until after 1880. Their son's name was George Caperton Harrison. They also had two daughters, Mary Emily and Orpha Elizabeth (Martha) Harrison, the youngest, being my great grandmother, who married Calvin Lafayette Moore. The family lived in Wise Co., TX for a long while. Louisa Whitesides may have been the second wife of Hugh Harrison, as he had a boy, named Daniel, age 14, with him in 1850 and Hugh was 33 years old at the time.
