I am a Harrison descendant through my great grandmother ELIZABETH CAROLINE HARRISON, b. 7 Feb 1845 in MS; m. 10 July 1864 to Julius Belcher Daniel, b. 10 Jun 1838 in Floyd Co., KY to Thomas Danile and his third wife, Winnie Ann O'Bryant (James father). Elizabeth Harrison Daniel d. 23 May 1875 and is buried at Paris, TX. She was the d/o Samuel M. Harrison, b. 12 Jan 1820 in Humprheys Co., TN; m. 24 Jan 1841 in Lafayette or Panola Co., MS; d. 30 Jan 1869 and buried in Canna Cemetery, Van Zendt Co. TX. His wife was Sarah Goodwin, b. 1 Apr 1821 probably in HIckman Co., TN; d. Feb 1892 in Mart, TX. Her parents were Mills Goodwin and Mary Guest, b. 1797 in SC., the eldest child of William Guest and Elizabeth Barton, and granddaughter of Capt. Moses Guest who fought in the Revolutionary War at Kings Mountain. Mills Goodwin was the son of Crafford Goodwin of ST, HIckman Co., TN and Panola Co., MS.

SAMUEL M. HARRISON was s/o of BENJAMIN HARRISON and Sarah Bradley. Though Benjamin Harrison was said to be related to the Harrison Presidents, I rather doubt this as I have found no proof after much study. My Benjamin is placed as the s/o John Harrison and Mary Malone of Botetourt Co., VA and Pendleton Co. or district of SC. I rather place him as a branch of the Dining Fork Harrison family of VA which ahd a Quaker background. That is a line poorly tranced. There were a number of Harrison families in Greenville and Pendleton Co. in the period of 1785-1810 which makes it difficult to prove anything for sure.

BENJAMIN HARRISON and Sarah Bradley bore these children in SC: William, Frank, Almina, Mary Minerva; and in Humphreys Co., TN: James Marshall, Samuel M. and Betty. Almina m. James Guest; Mary Minerva m. John Stanley; Betty m. a Carnes.
