I have found some new material on a William Henry Harrison, who lived in Allegheny Co., PA, and was the son of James Harrison and Jennie Bell Harrison.��The information was in Vol. 3 of "Genealogical and Personal History of Western PA, 1840-1921" on p. 785 (which can be seen on the Historic Pittsburgh site on the Internet).��This William Henry married Betsey Grove, but I do not know the names of any of their children.��They lived, I believe, in the McKeesport-Versailles area of Allegheny Co.
I have been looking for my gr-gr grandfather, William (Henry?) Harrison who married Elizabeth ????.��My gr-gr grandfather had a son named William E. Harrison, born in 1816, married to Margaret ????
Back to James and Jennie.��They also had a son (William's brother) named John Harrison (b. May 29, 1796) who married Elizabeth Muse. John and Eliz. also had a son, William E. Harrison, born June 22, 1826, who was a merchant and - for a short time - postmaster of McKeesport, PA, around 1866.��
Now this is where I think there may be a connection, and that my gr-gr grandfather may indeed be the William Henry Harrison that married Betsey (Elizabeth?) Grove.��My gr-gr grandfather had a son, James.��In his obituary it talks about a brother of James' (William E. Harrison) who had lived for quite a time in the household of his uncle, John Harrison.��It also said that he had a cousin also named William E. Harrison.��Looks to me as if the John Harrison who is the son of Wm. Henry and Betsey Grove Harrison, is his uncle.
Whew!��I know this is complicated, but I am trying to puzzle this whole thing out, and am wondering whether anyone has done any research on the family of William Henry and Betsey Grove Harrison?
