Comments: This deed is from George Adam Zettelmeyer, Sr. to his son, George (Adam) Zettelmeyer who married Barbara Reinhart. What is particularly interesting is the second tract of 12 acres. That land adjoined land of Henry Bolender; Heinrich Bolender was a witness to the will of the immigrant Jacob Zettelmeyer. The deed also recites that the tract was granted to Jacob Zettelmeyer in 1774. This was clearly Jacob, Jr., because he sold the land on 16 Jun 1777 and Jacob Sr. had died before then. That information may indicate that Jacob Jr. had not left for North Carolina at the time he sold the land. (Apparently his deed to Conrad Schaeffer was not recorded.)
