To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

Know Ye That in Consideration of the monies paid by Patrick Fitzgerald at the granting of the warrant hereinafter mentioned and of the sum of Three hundred thirty eight dollars and sixty four cents in full now paid by George Settlemoyer into the Treasury office of the Commonwealth there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto the said George Settlemoyer a certain tract of land situate in Maidencreek now Greenwich township Berks County Beginning at a Chestnut oak sapling thence by vacant land north eighty five degrees East two hundred and fourteen perches to a post thence by vacant land north seventy seven perches to a stone north sixty five degrees west one hundred and four perches to a post south ten degrees west eleven perches to a post then by land of Peter Harding south eighty degrees west twenty perches to a stone south ten degrees west thirteen perches to a white oak south eighty degrees west thirty eight perches to a stone south ten degrees west five perches to a corner south eighty degrees west twenty perches to a post north ten degrees East twelve perches to a post south eighty degrees west twenty one perches to a post thence by the latter and land vacant south ten degrees west one hundred and seven perches to the place of beginning Containing one hundred twenty five Acres twenty seven perches and allowance re which said tract of land was surveyed in pursuance of a warrant dated the 31st day of October 1753 granted to the said Patrick Fitzgerald for twenty five in then Maidencreek township Berks County there have been surveyed and returned two other tracts one thereof Containing twenty five Acres forty perches situate in said Maidencreek township and the other Containing one hundred twenty five Acres and twenty seven perches situate in Greenwich township in the said County for the former of which tracts a patent has already issued Whereas the right of the said Patrick Fitzgerald in and to the latter of the above mentioned tracts by virtue of sundry Conveyances and other assurances in law became vested in the said George Settlemoyer to whom a warrant of acceptance issued this day. To Have and To Hold said tract of land with the Appurtenances unto the said George Settlemoyer and his heirs to the use of him the said George Settlemoyer his heirs and assigns forever free and clear of all restrictions and reservations as to Mines, Royalties Quitrents or otherwise excepting and reserving only the fifth part of all gold and silver ore for the use of this Commonwealth to be delivered at the pits mouth clear of all charges. In Witness Whereof Samuel Workman Secretary of the Land office of the said Commonwealth hath hereunto set his hand and the seal of the land office of Pennsylvania hath been hereunto affixed the twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one of the Commonwealth the fifty fourth.

Comments: This grant was made apparently to George (Adam) Zettelmeyer, son of George Adam Zettelmeyer, Sr., and husband of Barbara Reinhart. Census records show that although he and Barbara lived much of their lives in Albany Township, they were in Greenwich Township in the 1820 and 1830 censuses.
