WILLIAM SPURRIER HARTSOCK, born between 1790 and 1815 Virginia, first documentation found in Washington Co., Virginia 1857.

Borchelt Family


FREDERICK BORCHELT, born 1841 Germany. Descendant married into the Palmer line.

Burks Family


SAMEUL BURKS, SR, born 1680 England and died 1775/76 in St. Anne's Parish, Albemarle Co., Virginia. He married Mary Elizabeth Davis. Descendant married into the Payton line.

Davis Family


NATHANIEL DAVIS, born 1655 Devonshire, England and died 1743 in Hanover Co., Virginia. He married Mary Elizabeth Hughes. Descendant married into the Burks line.

Hagan


JOHN E HAGAN, born 1845 Allen Co., Kentucky and died 1876 in Fulton Co., Kentucky. He married Julia Stubbs. His descendant married into the Hartsook line.

Kelly Family
PATRICK KELLY, born about 1797, in Ireland and died in 1871 in Liberty, Adams Co., Illinois. First documentated in 1837 arriving in New York on the Ship John Cumming. Arriving in 1838 in Adams County, Illinois. He married Hanora Cashman.

Neely Family


HUGH NEELY, born between 1700 and 1740, in probably Ireland. First documentated in Washington Co., Virginia in 1793.

Palmer Family


RICHARD PALMER, born 1818 England. He married Margaret Bain. Descendant married into the Hartsook line.

Peyton/Payton Family


JAMES PEYTON, born 1730 Stafford Co., Virginia. First documentation found as resident of Nelson Co., Kentucky in 1785 and died 1789 in Nelson Co., Kentucky. He married Susannah Threlkeld.

Schoessler Family


JACOB SCHOESSLER, , born 1887 in Russia and died 1969 in Portland Oregon. Jacob Schoessler and his family immigrated to the United States in 1912. Descendant married into the Hartsook line.

Wilcoxson Family


DANIEL WILCOXSON, born 1754 North Carolina and died 1837 in Shelby Co., Kentucky. He married Sarah (Sallie) Faulkner. Descendant married into the Payton line.

JOHN BALL, born about 1620 in Norfolk England. First documentation for Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts in 1756 and died 1674/75 in Lancaster, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. He married (1) Elizabeth Pierce and (2) Elizabeth Fox.

Beall Family


JOSEPHUS BEALL, born 1811 Ohio. First documentated in Sullivan Co., Missouri in 1849 and died 1903 in Milan, Sullivan Co., Missouri. He married (1) Julia AnnWithrow (2) Mary Jane McDole (3) Jane C Downing. Descendant married into the Crouse line.

JOHANNES CROUS, born about 1720 Germany. First documentation, Port of Entry, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, 1754.

Highland Family


MARGARET HIGHLAND, born 1816 Pennsylvania and died 1908 in Iowa Point, Doniphon Co., Kansas. She married (1) James Shields (2) Amos James Ball (3) Charles Egan.

Shatto Family


ADAM SHATTO, born about 1772 Pennsylvania. First documentation found in Austin Township, Trumbull Co., Ohio in 1809 and died 1846 in Chippewa Township, Wayne Co., Ohio. He married (1) Mary (2) Mary Lawrence. Descendant married into the Crouse line.

     Ohio. Daughter of Adam Shatto. She married Joseph Springer.

JOHN C CHANEY, born 1821 Louisiana and died 1864 in Missouri. He married Emily Katherine Stockton. First documentation found in Smith Township, Dade Co., Missouri, in 1860. Descendant married into the Ball line.

Cooper Family


EMBERSON ELBERT COOPER, born 28 May 1812 in Wayne Co., Kentucky and died 12 August 1880 in West Salem, Marion Co., Oregon. He married Nancy Wann.

Galloway Family


CHARLES GALLOWAY, born 20 August 1798 in Hampstead Co., Virginia and died 30 September 1884 in Yamhill Co., Oregon. He married Mary Haney. His grandson married into the Cooper family.

Northup Family


HENRY H NORTHUP, born in 1839 in Massachusette and died 24 September 1927 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon. He married Lydia B Harkness. His son married into the Cooper family.

Ragsdale Family


JOHN D RAGSDALE, born abt. 1815 in Kentucky and died after 1860 probably in Missouri. He married Lydia. First documentation is found in 1850 Dade Co., Missouri. His son married into the Hampton line.

Sherman Family
FREDERICK SHERMAN, born 1770 New York and died 1835 in Hartford, Washington Co., New York. He married Nancy Sherman. First documentation found in Washington Co., New York in 1795. Descendant married into the Chaney line.

DANIEL STOCKTON, born 1726 New Jersey and died 1804 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. He married Mary Clayton. First documentation found in Somerset Co., New Jersey in 1800.

Trumbull Family


LEVI TRUMBULL, born about 1732 Connecticut and died 1809 in Suffield, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He married (1) Mary Polly Smith (2) Mary Granger. First documentation found in Suffield, Hartford Co., Connecticut in 1756. Descendant married into the Sherman line.

Chaney Family Indirect Descendant Lines

The following are indirect descendant lines, to the above families. The common link with these lines, all were
pioneers to Oregon, arriving before 1865, settling first in Marion, Multnomah, Polk and Yamhill counties.

CLEMENT BRADBURY, born 1819 in Maine and died in 1902 in Clatsop Co., Oregon. He married Ann H Hobson in 1850 in Clatsop Co., Oregon.

Gatton Family


WILLIAM GATTON, born 1831 in Holmes Co., Ohio and died 1924 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon. He married Nancy Jane Hendrickson. His descendant married into the Burton Line.

Goucher Family
GEORGE W GOUCHER, born 1820 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., Virginia and died 1892 in Amity, Yamhill Co., Oregon. He married (1) Delilah Ann Morrison (2) Jane Lindsay (3) Almira P Trumbull (4) Catherine E Sailing. Married into the Sherman line.

LEVI HAGEY, born 1825 North Carolina and died 1905 in Yamhill Co., Oregon. He married (1) Elizabeth Shuck (2) Emily Katherine Stockton. Married into the Chaney line.

Hobson Family
WILLIAM HOBSON, born 1797 in England and died 1879 in Clatsop Co., Oregon. He married Margaret Hutchinson and Elizabeth Turner. His son married into the Young family.

     She married Clement A Bradbury. Ann H Hobson is the daughter of William Hobson.

EMELINE LAYTON YOUNG, born 1827 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and died 1903 in McMinnville, Yamhill Co., Oregon. She married Thomas Owens. Emeline Layton Young is the daughter of James Robert Young. Descendant married into the Sherman line.
