Please help identify Lizzie and Emily Hayden As some of you may know, Jim Hayden and I are presently transcribing the Civil War diaries and letters of Daniel W. Hayden. We are very fortunate in that the complete set of Daniel's civil war diaries have survived. Along with the diaries are numerous letters written to the folks at home. Many of these letters are addressed to Daniel's two sisters, Emily and Elizabeth. (Elizabeth became Elizabeth Woods. Emily became Emily Rideout.) I suspect we have photos of Emily and "Lizzie", but I just don't know which ones they are. I am going to post photos from Bertha's of unknown women. I think this is Ann Talbot, but I'm not sure. Ann and Daniel Hayden met before the civil war, and Ann waited for him all those years. They finally married in 1866. I include her photo here, because she is also featured in the diary and letters. The photos below are thumbnail versions. Click on the photos to see the full-scale version.
