The DAVEY line
This side of my family came from Redruth in Cornwall and worked in the mining industry. It doesn't seem that they were miners, more the assayers of copper and possibly even mine owners. Being such a common name all these details have yet to be totally verified, the more recent dates are from the census lists and earlier data is from the IGI. No parish records have yet been searched.

Mary married George CRANG and was my great great grandmother and after his death she moved to Plymouth where she was a victualler. She remarried in 1880 to a James TABB and had another daughter. He was the landlord of the Robin Hood pub in East Stonehouse.
Her eldest daughter Mary CRANG married James ROWE when she was just 18 years old and he was 35. They were my great grandparents on my mum's side
