The Home Ec Cottage, which according to the 1963 Yearbook was built in 1937-38, but tradition says was originally the John Hamilton house. I found John and Sue HAMILTON in Luther on the 1920 census, near the McCORKLEs and COLEs, which is consistent with this location. Sue died in 1922, John in 1935.
It is therefore logical that the house could have been remodeled for use as the Home Ec Cottage in 1937-1938. From time I spent in classes there, I can attest that the east part was obviously an addition.
