- hdpth-DNA project has a perfect 37-marker match a Hedgepath from the SC clan and myself, more on that when we return :)

- Our milestone celebration DNA test kit give away, has brought in three new participants joining our hdpth-DNA group study ... their results should be interesting to us all ... one each of a Hedgepath, Hedgepeth and Hedgpeth :) test results will be available for comparison about 5 weeks after their test samples are sent to the testing Lab ...
- We are still looking for a minimum of 5 more participants, as runner-ups in this celebration give away ...

There are 109 searchable pages in the web site now ... with another 55 pages still in the works ... ie. Fran Nelson's Newsletter, 8 pages - one for each issue left to proof read still. Census data for individual U.S. states "complete" household listings, 46 pages [which may be broken up further according to census years, due to file sizes] and that would increase the page count xx times ... Ann Arnold's Newsletter we presently don't have a page count for yet ... there are 16 issues covering 4 years ... and of course our contributor's spot light page :)

- a letter to the editor of the Sun-Telegram newspaper, by Mary (Hedgpeth) Ash, in regards to an article they ran, titled "Massacre at the Colorado River" ... Note we do not have a copy of that article, and don't know where that newspaper was published.

- 3 generations of descendants of Jeremiah Hedgepeth b. 1785 in NC.
- 3 generations of descendants of Coleman Hedgepeth b. abt. 1798 VA
- and then info we presently have for the 7th generation down from Henry
Hedgpeth of Isle of Wight Co., VA, which actually shows the children of
the 8th generation ... it's working now ...- At the same time, we are in the process of reconfiguring the links / bookmarks for moving from one generation to the next, and then back again, in the family database ...
- The Family Group Sheet Form [or I should say that .txt file, that generates the messages sent to us] has been fixed AGAIN ... now the data submitted to us for the database, will print out correctly in the right fields ... I have personally tested it and verified that it works correct this time ...
* noted this site has had to date 2,689 hits [visitor's] ...that's over a thousand visits in almost 3 months time ... wonder who all, or where all of them connect in at :)
NOTE the RootsWeb site counter only counts the first visit of each user, each day ... so multiple visits in the same day by the same IP address only count once per day, and NO other data is gathered ...
Jan. 07, 2003 - On the puzzle link for STORIES & BIO's we added
- New book recently published by Charles Baley, about the 1858-59 wagon trip from Missouri to California ... titled "Disaster at the Colorado" Beale's Wagon Road and the first Emigrant Party ... this book goes into much more detail than John Udell's Journal of that trip and the people who were a part of that wagon party ... Charles has done a lot of research, and answers many of the question we have all wondered about ...
Nov. 06, 2002 - On the puzzle link for CENSUS RECORDS we added
- New data has been added to just about ALL available census year indexes ... All published indexes available to me at this time have been comb through, along with the AIS Accelerated Indexing System. Noted that there are still a few states that might be missing, along with some counties in those states that we have covered so far ... hopefully with further resources and your help :-) we will be able to add more of those that were missed !
