This site is devoted to the family history of the six Heinsohn brothers who immigrated
from Oldenburg to Texas between 1845 and 1850.

At the Heinsohn Family Reunion, we are all descendants of Hinrich "Diedrich" Heinsohn and Anna Marie Rodefeld who lived at Jaderberg near Varel in Oldenburg, now Germany. We usually distinguish between six branches of the family, a branch for each of the six Heinsohn brothers who immigrated between the years 1845 and 1850. The brothers had a sister who died as an infant, and they also had three half-siblings who were born at Jaderberg after they immigrated. Their mother died in 1844.
