HELMS MIGRATION FROM NORTH CAROLINA
THE HELMS MIGRATION FROM NORTH CAROLINA While
there was considerable Helms expansion within the local North Carolina
area, as the overall "family" began to enlarge greatly, the
Helms began to migrate into other territories as they opened up. |
Some of the line of Jonathan Helms were in a migration into Texas. The migration took them through Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, and finally into North Texas when Texas was still a republic. Sue Patterson
has written a stirring tale about their trials and tribulations in her
story called "HONEY CREEK:
The Story of Thompson and Abigail Helms, by Sue Patterson" http://www.collincotxhistdoc.info/. To view
the genealogical line of Sue Patterson as a descendant of Jonathan Helms
who settled in North Carolina about 1750 click
