  Andrew LaPrade I was born Abt. 1694, and died Bet. 1765 - 1770 in Chesterfield Co., VA (Probable). He married Ann Volana before 1711.

Children of Andrew LaPrade and Ann Volana is:

1.  John LaPrade, born 1711 in Henrico Co., VA and died 1784 in Goochland Co., VA.     

2.  Elizabeth LaPrade, born 1724    

3.  Andrew LaPrade II, born 1725 and died 01 February 1725/26 in James City Co., VA      

Will Transcription:

In the name of God amen, this fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord Christs, one Thousand seven hundred & sixty five, I Andrew Lepraid of the County of Chesterfield being weak in Body but of perfect mind & memory, doe make & ordain this my last will & Testament in manner & form following

Imprimis, I give & bequeath unto my Grandson Daniel Young a sertain dividend or parcel of Land scituate lying & being in the County aforesaid adjoining the lines of John Moors, Goodes Bridge or Amelia Road unto the Hundred Road, thence on the Hundred Road to John Laborears line, & thence on his line to Moors line aforesaid containing by Estimation one hundred acres, be the same more or less.

Item, the plantation I now live on with the land thereunto belonging - containing by estimation one hundred & twenty acres be the same more or less I leave in the possession of my beloved wife Elizabeth Lepraid & my beloved daughter Rachell Lepraid for & dureing both their Lives to be by them enjoyed without any disturbance from any person or persons whatsoever.

Item, after my just debts are paid all my personal & moveable Estate Goods & Chattles I give & bequeath unto my well beloved wife Elizabeth Lepraid forever.

Item, the land & plantation last mentioned left in the possession of my wife & Daughter dureing both their lives I give & bequeath unto my son, Jno Lepraid but not to be by him Injoyed nor taken into his possession till the deceise of the above said Elizabeth and Rachell.

Item, as I have given away all my Estate, I desire that there may be no appraisement had on my Estate, and I appoint ordain & constitute my beloved Wife Elizabeth Lepraid my Executrix in this my last Will & Testament, vocating making null and void all other and former wills and Testaments by me heretofore made.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day & year above mentioned.

  John LaPrade was born 1711 in Henrico Co., VA, and died 1784 in Goochland Co., VA (Probable). He married (1) Unknown. He married (2) Temperance Farrar 12 January, 1747/48 in Goochland Co., VA, daughter of John Farrar and Elizabeth Hancock. He married (3) Anna Williams 10 February, 1753 in Goochland Co., VA. He married (4) Susanna Wadlow 10 August, 1760 in Goochland Co., VA, daughter of Thomas Wadlow and Unknown.

Children of John LaPrade and Unknown are:

(NOTE:  Anne “Jeannie” LaPrade is said to be the daughter of Temperance Farrar below.  There is some indication in the naming patterns of Anne’s children as to the veracity of this. )

1. Anne "Jeannie" LaPrade, born Bet. 1743 - 1745. She married Richard Pleasants , Jr. 01 July, 1762 in Goochland Co., VA.

2. Andrew? LaPrade, born 1733; died 1778. He married Martha Unknown.

1. Joannah LaPrade, born 1748. She married William Heath Miller , Jr 19 March, 1772 in Goochland Co., VA.

3. John LaPrade, born 16 March, 1766. He married Nancy Hendley 19 September, 1791 in Henrico Co., VA.

4. Susanna LaPrade, born 14 May, 1768. She married John Tate 18 January, 1790 in Goochland Co., VA.

5. Elizabeth Betsy LaPrade, born 23 June, 1770. She married Thomas Bernard 13 December, 1787 in Goochland Co., VA.

6. Jane Jenny LaPrade, born 16 March, 1773 in Goochland Co., VA. She married Hezekiah Puryear , Jr. 30 November, 1795.

In the Name of God Amen. I John Laprade of Goochland County being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following  

Imprimis I Lend the use of my lands and plantation whereon I now Live containing three hundred acres to my Beloved wife During her Natural Life, In Room of her Power in all my other Lands but it is my Will and desire that She shall not cut any Timber on the South side of the plantation Except to repair the fences on that side of the plantation  also I lend to my said Wife  dureing her Natural Life the following Negroes, to wit Abram Frank Dick Hannah Call and Sall  

Item I give and Bequeath my land and plantation above mentioned unto my Son John Laprade his heirs and assigns forever for him to take possession thereof after my Said Wife's Decease also I give to my said son John my lands and plantation being on dover Creek which I purchased of John Payne and Jos. Evans Containing one hundred twenty eight acres more or less also my land in Chesterfield County which was left to me by my father's will    To my Said Son John his Heirs and assigns forever  also I give to my said son John my following Negro Slaves, to wit, (?Jotum?) Jacob Ben and Sammy son of Sal  to him his heirs & assigns forever also I give to my said son John & to his heirs & assigns forever the following Stock, to wit, one Bay mare bought of Thos. Miller  one Dark Bay young mare Called Beauty one Bay Ridgling horse Colt  four head of young Cows or heifers also one good feather Bed & furniture to my said son John his heirs and assigns forever 

Item I give to my said wife Susanna the following   **** to wit, my Grey Horse Jack  My Roan mare  my Bay Fearnaught Colt fifteen head of Cattle & all my stock of hogs and sheep to my said wife & to her heirs and assigns forever my Will desire & intent is that what I have given and lent or Shall give or Lend in this my said will to my wife shall the profits thereof be applyed towards the bringing up and maintaining my Childred namely my Daughter Susanna Betty & Jenny & my Desire is that they shall not be parted from my said wife. 

Item I give to my Daughter Martha Hatcher one negro Girl Slave nam'd Jenny now in her possession and my Negro Boy nam'd Harry to her & her Heirs & assigns forever    

Item)  I give to my Daughter Susanna Two Negro Slaves Miles & son

Item) I give to my daughter Betty two negro Slaves namely Lucy & Charlotte to her & her Heirs & assigns for Ever  

Item  I give to my Daughter Jenny two Negro Slaves namely Nancy & Joan to her & her Heirs & assigns forever and my will is that my sd Daughters Shall take possession of the Negroes above mentioned at Lawful age or Marriage also I give one feather Bed and furniture to each of my Daughters namely Susanna Betty & Jenny to them and their Heirs for Ever   

Item) I give to my Daughter Judith Peers my Negro Boy Slave nam'd Edmund also a feather bed & furniture which I have heretofore given her but is now in my Possession to her and her heirs for ever   

Item all the remaining part of my stock of Horses & Cattle not before given  I appoint to be sold after my Decease by my Executors & the money arising from the sale thereof to be Equally divided amongst my three youngest daughters namely Susanna Betty & Jenny and to be paid to them when they Legally arrive to Lawful age or marry  

Item) my Negro Slaves which I have lent to my Beloved wife Susanna During her Natural Life together with their future Increase Namely Abram Frank Dick Hannah Call & Sall after her Decease I give and Bequeath the sd. negroes as followeth to wit to be Equally divided amongst my following Children namely my Son John Laprade Martha Hatcher Judith Peers Susanna Betty & Jenny Laprade to them and their Heirs for ever)

Item  the profits arising from the part of the Estate which I have lent to my Said wife after my said Daughters Susanna Betty & Jenny Shall arrive to Lawful age or marry  I Give the said profits unto my said wife her heirs and assigns for ever 

Item the remaining part of my houshold goods and furniture not before given I give to my Beloved wife Susanna to her and her Heirs & assigns for ever 

Item my desire my Desire is that my Executors hereafter mentioned Shall Sell such part of my Crops of all kinds that shall be on my Lands at my Decease as can be spar'd from my familys use and apply the money arising from the sale thereof together with all credits that shall be due to ***** as much thereof as shall be necessary Towards paying my Lawful Debts and the remainder I lend to my wife until my Daughter Jenny Jenny arrives to Lawful age and then I give the said money to be equally divided amongst my children namely Martha Hatcher John Laprade Judith Peers Susanna Betty & Jenny Laprade 

Item  I give to my Daughter Johanna Miller whatsoever I have heretofore given her & is now in her possession also I give five shillings cash to be paid her by my Executors being the full Portion of my Estate which I allot her to her & her Heirs and assigns for Ever.

Item) I Give to my daughter Anne Pleasants whatever I have heretofore given and is now in her possession also five Shillings Cash to be paid her by my Executors being the portion of my Estate which I allot her to her & her Heirs and assigns for Ever.  Lastly I Constitute ordain and appoint my son John Laprade my son in law Gideon Hatcher & my son in law Anderson Peers Executors and my beloved wife Susanna Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Will or Wills heretofore by me made & do Publish & Declare this to be my Last Will & Testament   In Witness whereof I have hearunto Set my hand and Seal this fifth day of January one thousand Seven hundred & Eighty four

At a Court held for Goochland County October 18th 1784 this writing was provd the Oaths of Jno. Woodson and Lucy Farrar and the affirmation of Peter Fitzgerald (a Quaker) to be the Last Will and Testament of John Laprade Dec'd & was thereupon admitted to Record.
