  • Myles Standish Society — The society is dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the Standish genealogy and history. We chose the name Myles Standish Society instead of Standish Society in order to celebrate one of the most famous Standishes. Captain Myles Standish was born between 1583 and 1586 in either Lancashire, England or Ellenbane, Isle of Man. This of course is one subject of much discussion. Myles was one of the first people to step onto Plymouth Rock in 1620. The pilgrim died on October 3, 1656 in Duxbury, MA.
  • New England Historic Genealogical Society — This venerable society in Boston was founded in 1845. It offers materials for genealogists of all levels.

  • The Pilgrim Society — Founded in 1820 “to ensure a continuing and expanded appreciation of the Pilgrims and their contributions to the American Heritage.” Operates the 1824 Pilgrim Hall Museum, the oldest public museum in the United States.

  • Chronicles of the Pilgrim FathersEdited by Ernest Rhys, this site, part of Bibliomania.com, contains an Introduction by John Masefield that is accompanied by a list of writings by the Pilgrim Fathers, and their contemporaries, about them and the Colony as well as writings about the Pilgrims published through the late 19th century; Nathaniel Morton's New England's Memorial; Morton's Supplement to New England's Memorial; Robert Cushman's Discourse; John Smith's New England's Trials; Edward Winslow's Relation; and Winslow's Brief Narration.   • Plimoth Plantation's Hobbamock's Wampanoag Indian Site — Hobbamock, a counselor to Massasoit—the sachem of Pokanoket—came with his family to live in Plymouth in the spring of 1621 after a peace treaty with the colonists. A guide and interpreter for the colonists, he lived on the south side of Town Brook between the fields allotted to the Hopkins and Howland families. Hobbamock lived with the colonists until his death in 1641.
