The infomation on this web page has been collected from a number of years of searching. Up until five years ago I new nothing about my ancesters, but from help of others and a lot of looking I have learn quite a bit, but still have a lot to learn. My search is mostly in North Carolina, being both my parents ancesters chose it to settle there.
On my fathers side I start with Raimon Ennis that shows up in Cumberland Co., NC in 1790 Census (the section that later became Harnett Co.,NC). I still have not found the maiden name of his wife Elizabeth, but hope one day I will. Their son John married Mary Ryals in 1827 Cumberland Co., NC. And from the union of these two I have been on the trail of Godwin, Wood, Mason, Hair, Ammon, and to many more to name. This search has taken me to Anson, Cumberland, Harnett, Wake, and Johnston Countie in North Carolina and South Carolina.
On my mothers side I start with Ephraim Grant married to Nancy Kinchen. In 1850 Wayne Co., NC census it states he was born in West Indies, have not found parents of Ephraim yet, maybe one day. And from the union of these two I have been on the trail of Jernigan,Whitman, Winders,Hill, and others. This search has taken me to Wayne, Duplin, Johnston, and Sampson Counties in North Carolina
I hope by making this web page I can help someone and maybe get some help also.
