Alana Camille Laseter and William Scott Higginbotham exchanged marriage vows January 24, 2009 in New Orleans. Following a ten-day honeymoon to San Francisco, the couple will reside in Lafayette. Parents of the couple are Robert Gray and Donna Goodwin Laseter of Monroe and Donald Joseph and Carol Mury Higginbotham of Lafayette. Alana is the granddaughter of Hersey and Rose Marie Goodwin and the late George and Mavis Laseter, all of Bastrop. She is a graduate of ULM with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a graduate of the Aveda Institute in Lafayette with a license of cosmetology. Bill is the grandson of the late Clinton and Georgia Higginbotham of Lafayette and the late Charles and Lena Mae Mury of White Castle. He is a graduate of USL with a master’s degree of science and a graduate of Life University in Atlanta with a doctorate in chiropractic.

Megan Elizabeth Berrigan and Dustin Christopher Higginbotham, both of Baton Rouge, will exchange marriage vows at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Berrigan, Jr. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanly Gandolfi, of Metairie, and Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Berrigan, Sr., of New Orleans. She is a 2004 graduate of Bishop Sullivan High School. She received a degree in Business Administration: Marketing from LSU Baton Rouge. She is self-employed as a Makeup Artist. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Higginbotham. He is a 2002 graduate of Port Barre High School. He is the grandson of Ms. Evelina Dekerlegand of Port Barre, the late Mr. Emile Dekerlegand and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Higginbotham of Washington, LA. He received a Bachelors of Science degree from LSU Baton Rouge and his Associates degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. He is employed as a Registered Nurse in Baton Rouge. The groom's parents will host a rehearsal supper in Baton Rouge. A reception will follow the ceremony at the Camelot Club Downtown Baton Rouge.

Amy Elizabeth Higginbotham and Nils Alan Weeks exchanged wedding vows on Friday, July 30, 2010 during an evening ceremony at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, Louisiana. Reverend Louie Richard officiated at the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Higginbotham of Broussard, Louisiana. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Therese Higginbotham and the late Mr. Thomas Higginbotham of Lafayette, Louisiana and Mrs. Clara Kleinpeter and the late Mr. Dolan Kleinpeter of New Iberia, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Ovey Comeaux High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a Bachelors of Science in Education and is currently working on a Masters degree of Reading at Salem State University. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Weeks, of Danvers, Massachusetts. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruth Weeks and the late Mr. Arnold Weeks of Danvers, Massachusetts and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fredrik Winn of Andover, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Danvers High School and a graduate of Salem State University and is currently employed by the Danvers Fire Department in Massachusetts. Escorted by her father the bride wore a lovely diamond white A-line gown with corset closure by Maggie Sottero. Classic lace fabrication gave a modern silhouette. The slimming asymmetrical ruched bodice dropped below the waistline into delicate bustles cascading over Romance Satin, finished with a beautiful scalloped hem and matching lace cap-sleeves. She completed her ensemble with a diamond white two-tier elbow-length veil and carried a bouquet of red roses tied with a white satin ribbon. Maid of honor was Kelsey Higginbotham, sister of the bride, and matron of honor was Lindsey Mhire, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids included Jessica Stone, Millicent Venable, Katy Mitchell, Nancy Morrill, and Kristin Descant. Lauren Gonsoulin, cousin and godchild of the bride, served as flower girl. Best man was Chris Weeks, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Kory Higginbotham, twin brother of the bride, Mark Waldman, Matthew Stone, Michael Helm, Justin Halupowski, Richard Selvitella, and Frank Backry. Scriptures were read by Klein Kleinpeter, godfather of the bride and Hannah Romaine, cousin of the bride. Gift bearers were Annette Hamman, godmother of the bride and Arnold Weeks, uncle of the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at City Club in River Ranch. After returning home from a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Danvers, Massachusetts.

He is a graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles and is currently employed at Iberia Bank as a Senior Investment Representative. The couple will be united in marriage on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 6:00pm in a fountain side ceremony at the Carriage House Hotel in River Ranch. After the wedding, the couple will reside in Youngsville.

Ashley Louise Higginbotham and Jon Adam Bourgeois exchanged wedding vows October 2nd during a 6 p.m. ceremony at the Carriage House Hotel courtyard in River Ranch. Robert Savoy, uncle of the bride, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stevie Higginbotham. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Higginbotham of Church Point and Mrs. Marie Louise Savoy of Lafayette. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The groom is the son of the late Mr. Curtis A. Bourgeois and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Lillian Bourgeois all of Baton Rouge. The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an elegant, strapless, fit and flared gown. The gown was made of ivory capri taffeta with beaded ivory lace ornamenting the bodice and accenting the side waist and lower hip. Finally it featured a dramatic chapel length train and corset back enclosure. A two tier raw edge veil completed her ensemble. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of chocolate and terra cotta roses, flame calla lilies and green orchid accents. Included in the bouquet was a handkerchief that belonged to the bride's great grandmother. Maid of honor was Rachelle Kober, friend of the bride. Best man was Curtis A. Bourgeois, brother of the groom. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at City Club in River Ranch. After returning from their wedding trip to Cancun, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
