    Mrs. Nancy J. Wells, daughter of Lewis and Jane Salmon was born near New Rumley, O, February 25, 1847 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. L. Beckley of Dennison, November 16, 1922, aged 75 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

    She was united in marriage March 5, 1865 to Mr. Gilbert Wells of Deersville, by Dr. Samuel Patterson. To this union were born 4 children, 1 died in infancy. The others are: Mrs. May Beckley of Dennison; Mrs Martha Edgar, and Samuel P. Wells of Cadiz. She is also survived by 3 brothers; John Salmon of Dennison, Elmer and Albert Salmon of Jewett, 2 sisters; Mrs. Susan Hoobler of Canton, and Mrs. Kate Hawk of Jewett. There are also living 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death 16 years ago.

    Most of her life was spent in Scio and vicinity with the exception of the last few years which was spent with her daughter, Mrs. Beckley in Dennison.

    She was a sincere Christian woman and a member of the Hanover M. E. Church. She was a good wife, loving mother, and a kind neighbor. She has responded to the call of the other world and entered into her rest.

    Bunny was an inspiration to all who knew her, she had strength beyond means and the wit of a comedian. Her "Bunnyisms" will be a source of humor for years to come. She was a small but mighty women, loved by all.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Susan Wells; grandson, Chad Lewis; four brothers and three sisters
    She was the loving mother of four children, Jerry Wells and wife, Kathy and Doug Wells both of Ft. Myers, Fla., Karen Lewis and husband, John, of Butler, Pa., and Kathy Tharp and husband, Leonard of Steubenville, Ohio; her most cherished grandchildren, Kristen Roe and husband, Squig, Michael Lewis and wife, Nicole, Monica Jones and husband, JP, Meghan Lewis and Abby Perko and her adored two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Justin Roe and Twin baby girl Lewis' to be born in May.
    She is also survived by one sister, Ida Haynes of Toronto and sister-in-law, Edna Kirkpatrick of Wintersville; three stepgrandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her four-legged granddogs, Tyson, Doug and Buffy.
    Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
    A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr. Gerald Calovini, celebrant.
    Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
    There will be a vigil service 3:45 p.m., on Wednesday.
