  Mary Ruth Wells Isler of Hartford went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 31, 2011 following a long battle with Alzheim-er's. She was 86 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Hartford Baptist Church, where she was an active member as long as her illness allowed it, with Rev. Bruce Spivey and Rev. Chris Kroll officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery under the direction of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Scattering Seeds Missions at Hartford Baptist Church, Hartford, AL. Ruth was born August 9, 1925 and was the daughter of James Larkin and Luthie Wells. Receiving her training in New York, she was became a beautician and proprietor of The Modern Beauty Shop in Hartford until her retirement. She married John Wesley Isler of Hartford and they had one child, Mary Lynn Isler. Throughout her life, she was an avid gardener and for years grew prize winning roses and daylilies. Her hobbies included playing bridge and dominoes with her friends. She was a faithful friend, who stood shoulder to shoulder in times of need and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Isler and her daughter, Mary Lynn Isler, both of Hartford. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of dear and loving friends.   Flora Agnes Wells, a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Courtyard at the Mill Pond in Marianna, Florida. She was a much loved, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She will be missed by all. She was 90.
  
  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murray Kelley officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to service time. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartford, Alabama.
  
  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 4440 Lafayette St., Marianna, FL 32446.
  
  Mrs. Wells lived in Hartford, Alabama for a number of years. She moved to Ashford where her husband, Skilmon L. Wells, was employed with Wiregrass Electric, after his death she moved to Dothan. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God Church and a member of the Dothan First Assembly of God Church. She worked for a number of years at the Louise Shop in Dothan.
  
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Skilmon L. Wells, her parents, Eddie Arthur and Eva Hughes, two sisters, Opal Seay and Martha Miller Sheffield.
  
  Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Ball (Ted) of Dothan, AL; one son, Bill Wells, Sr. (Rebecca) of Byron, GA; four grandchildren, Deborah Buwalda (Don) of Lake City, FL, Timothy Ball of Lake City, FL, Billy Wells (Amy) of Macon, GA, Jeffery Wells of Orlando, FL; five great-grandchildren, Megan Ball, Cameron Ball, Trey Ball, Levi Buwalda, all of Lake City, FL, and Katie Beth Wells of Macon, GA; two sisters also survived her, Merrel Scurlock and Nell Scurlock of Cottondale, FL.
