    Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 9:00 AM until the time of services at Johnson Funeral Home.

    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbia and was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lee H. Wells.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wells Beraud, Lafayette, a granddaughter, Ms. Sallie Beraud Lovorn, Frankfurt, West Germany, three nephews, Ellis McArthur, Woodrow McArthur and Russell Cummings, Sr. and one niece, Mrs. Frank Massingill.

    Mrs. Wells was the daughter of John Wesley and Sallie Bain McArthur. She served as an active member of the United Methodist Church at Columbia and served as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, Secretary of the Administrative Board and church treasurer. She held a life-time membership in the United Methodist Women, an organization which she served in every official capacity. She was also a longtime member of the prayer group which bore her name.

    Pallbearers were Doug Crockett, Orvis Watson, Billy Bennett, Bobby Jack Hall, Ruben Williams, Hoot Reitzell. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Meredith, Paul Meredith and Marcus Thornhill.

Wells of Rockport, Texas, and six grandchildren, Eloise Edwards of Fresno Ca., Mrs Harold Brinkley of Gloster and Sam Basil, Edwin, Catherine and Barbara Belle Chatwin, of Shreveport.
