Donna L. Wells, 71, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 in Shawnee.

She was born July 17, 1941 to Harold Louis Edson and Geneive June (Steen) McKee in Schuyler County, Missouri and had fond memories of her early childhood in Missouri.

Donna was raised in Davenport, Iowa and attended Davenport Public Schools. She was a 1959 graduate of Davenport High School.

She married Kenneth Wells on March 25, 1963 in Davenport, Iowa.

After marriage Donna and Kenneth moved to Dallas, Texas area where they lived and raised their family for over 30 years. They moved to the Tecumseh/Shawnee area in 2000 and have lived there ever since.

Donna was homemaker and loved taking care of her home and family. She enjoyed doing family genealogy, listening to music, reading, especially her Bible and westerns, staying in touch with extended family and friends on Facebook and was known as “Face Booking Granny”. Donna loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. But most of all she loved spending time with her husband, Kenneth and their dogs and staying in touch with her best friend, Betty Colburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Geneive McKee; and one sister, Sharon Kay Anson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Wells, of the home; 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Debra Sheffield, of Wellston, OK, Leslie Dawn and Ken Wright, of Wewoka, OK and Lacy Dee and Greg Brown, of Ft. Payne, Alabama; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Ben and Shelley Wells, of Lewisville, Texas and Louis Kenneth Wells, of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Sue McKee, of Kemp, Texas; and numerous extended family and friends.
