WELCOME TO HILMES GENEALOGY

They came to the United States in the year 1868. They left Bremen, Germany for Baltimore, U.S. on October 15, 1868 on the ship Bark Stella. They came from the Wettrup, Langen and Lengerich areas in Germany. (See Map)

     

I am amazed at the courage and hardships they and others must have had in going to a new country and making a new beginning.
