In 1918, he had to sign up for the World War I Draft Registry. It records that, on September 12, 1918, in Clay, Itawamba, MS, John was age 25 (that is what it says on the record, but it has a correct birth date which would make him 45). He is described as being white, farms, medium height, stout, blue eyes, gray hair.

around Blytheville, Arkansas. Dessie died there in 1977 at the age
of 77.

James Alvin, who went by "Alvin" most of the
time, married a girl from Itawamba County and they lived most of their
lives in Blytheville, Arkansas. They had two sons. Alvin died
in 1952 in Blytheville at the age of 52.

Elmer owned a store in Nettleton, Lee County,
Mississippi. No contact with his children has been made.
Elgie Webb

Elgie lived with Travis for a while in Chloride,
Arizona. He died out there in 1974 at the age of 64. Some of
his children live in California, but contact with them has not been made.

died there in an auto accident in 1953 at the age of 41.
