Letty Lou Gainey Webb Cannon
Letty Lou Gainey Webb Cannon

Letty Lou was born in 1871.  She was the last member of this family to be born before they left for Texas.  She was born in Fulton, Itawamba County, Mississippi.  When she was one year old, the family packed their belongings and left for Texas.  She grew up in Crockett, Texas and married Wesley Ezekial Cannon in 1889 there when she was 17 years old.   Letty Lou and Wes had nine children together, but one of them died young.  They continued to live in the Crockett area for most of their lives.  But they were in Bishop, Nueces County, Texas in 1924 when their car was struck by a train, killing them both.  They are buried in Bishop together.
