Curtis Lee, Chris, and Minnie Scott Christopher Columbus Scott was one of the middle children of Robert S. Scott and Dursdemona Dora Webb.  He was born on April 13, 1874, in Lamar County, Alabama.  He grew up there and in Monroe County, Mississippi.  In 1903, at the age of 28, he married Minnie Bell Thompson, who was 21 at the time.  

Chris and Minnie had two children together, the year after and six years after they married.  Chris was a farmer and the couple lived in northeastern Monroe County their whole lives.  In 1920 the census found them thus:

He always lived close to his family and most of his brothers and sisters.  When he passed away at the age of 86 on February 22, 1961, he was buried in the Pickle Cemetery in Monroe County.  His obituary follows:

Rites Today For Chris Scott
    Will Be Held In Sipsey Fork Center
   
    AMORY, Miss. - Christopher Columbus (Chris) Scott, farmer in the Sipsey Fork community, died at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday at his home after an illness of five months.   He was 87.
    Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sipsey Fork community center with the Rev. C.C. Berryhill officiating.  Burial will be in Pickle Cemetery with Pickle Funeral Home in charge.
    Mr. Scott was born and reared in Lamar County, Ala.  He was married in 1901 to Miss Minnie Bell Thompso and they had resided at Sipsey Fork for 50 years.  He was a member of the Center Point Methodist Church.
    In addiation to his wife, Mr. Scott leaves a son, C.L. Scott of Greenwood Springs; a daughter, ----; a sister, Miss Liza Scott of Greenwood Springs; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Curtis Lee Scott Curtis Lee Scott (md. Flora Mae Plunkett and Beatrice Boyette)
     Curits Lee married Flora Mae on November 19, 1927.  They had one child together.  When Flore Mae passed away in 1961, Curtis remarried to Beatrice Boyette on September 21, 1962.  He is buried in the Pickle Cemetery in Monroe County along with Flora Mae.
