William Nathaniel Webb
William Nathaniel "Willy Nat" Webb

William Nathaniel Webb and brother, Woodie Pink Webb Willie Nat at a young age William Nathaniel Webb was born in April of 1878, in Itawamba County, Mississippi.  He was the first child of David Dee Webb and Nancy Ann Ford.  He grew up in the Clay Community and he eventually married a girl from nearby, Arvilla Stone.

"Willy Nat" as he was known, had eight children with Arvilla.  The census in 1920 caught them still in Itawamba County:

1920 Itawamba County, Mississippi Census
Beat 5, Clay Precinct;  House #209
William Webb 42
Arvilla 34
Winnie A. 16 Dau.
Alva A. 13 Dau.
Eula L. 10 Dau.
Arvie L. 8 Dau.
Vanda A. 6 Girl
Elmo S. 4 2/12 Son

At some point after this, the family moved to the Mississippi Delta to farm.  None of the family in Itawamba County remembered where exactly they wound up though.  Willy Nat was a sharecropper, so there is a chance that they moved around a lot.  One of the most notable things about this family is that all five of Willy Nat's girls, daughters of a sharecropper in the Delta, received college educations!

Willie probably died before 1957, but we know next to nothing about the line after that.
