Joel Barnard, son of Robert and Elizabeth (Bailey) Barnard, wasa Private in Captain Cyprian How's Company, Colonel Jonathan Ward's Regiment, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775. He died of camp fever at Dorchester Heights. He was born in Marlboro, Mass.
