Meeting of the Freeholders to fence Old Common

At a Legal Meeting of the Freeholders and
other inhabitants of the town of Marlborough
May 6th AD 1711

Chose Dea William Barnes, Jonah How and
William How a Committee to fence the Burying
Ground near were the old Meeting House lately stood,
agreeably to a report of a Committe and audited
by the town at said Meeting ----- also Voted that the
Committee make use of such Stones on the Common,
as they should think proper. ------

                                       Attest. Dan'l Brigham Town Clerk

Said report follows; To wit, that said Burying Ground
be enlarged by running as the fence now stands on
the Southerly side of said burying Ground untill it
intersects a line drawn as Mr Packards fence
stands on the westerly side of a Town way -- thence
Northerly untill it comes to the Southeasterlyy corner
of Mr Packards land. ---------- Also that the Town
choose a Committee to fence the same
