Whitcomb, Zelates, (1759-1863) served as private in Capt. Jonathan Rice's company, Col. Samuel Bullard's regiment 1777, Massachusetts militia. He died in Marlborough, Mass.

Whitney, Samuel, (1734-1808), was a member of the Committee of Correspondence and, 1775, was chosen to the Provincial Congress from Concord. He removed from there, 1776. and in 1793 settled in Maine, where he died in Castine. He was born in Marlboro, Mass.

Wilkins, Josiah, (1717-1783), served as a minute man from Marlboro, Mass., where he died. A marker has been placed on his grave in the old burying ground on the hill.

Williams, Abraham, (1727-1784), a graduate of Harvard, was a patriot preacher, whose two sons died on British prison ships. He was born in Marlboro; died in Sandwich, Mass.
